What the record says, and what is missing
DotCode kept snippets and components on the web, which is the wrong side of the screen from where they get used. The record the previous portfolio kept describes this extension as closing that gap — searching the platform from inside Visual Studio Code, previewing a result, and inserting it into the open file without a round trip through the browser. That is the author’s own description, and the only one that exists. No source for this extension was found on this machine, so nothing here checks it against an implementation: not the commands it registers, not what it talks to, not whether it was ever published. Two images survive, a logo and a list of commands. Everything past that is open.

Evidence

- provisionalDot — the record the previous portfolio keptdocument · attests existence · captured 2026-08-19field extraction: platform ‘VS Code extension’, repository github.com/sgc93/dot, and a description of snippet search, preview and insertion against the DotCode platformThe author’s own words about his own project, and the only description that exists. Provisional because this registry is demonstrably unreliable elsewhere — it carries copy-pasted tags between unrelated projects — and because no source was found to check any of it against.
- verifiedDot — two images in the portfolioscreenshot-set · attests existence · captured 2026-08-19directory listing: dot_logo.svg and dot_search.png, dated November and December 2024A logo and one capture, with no recorded capture date beyond the file timestamps. An earlier note pointed at a thirteen-image directory as possibly belonging to this project; it was inspected and holds DotCode deployment captures instead.
